PEO STRI Releases the FY10 DET S&T BAA

The US Army Program Executive Office for Simulation, Training, and Instrumentation (PEO STRI) has released amendment 1 to the Directed Energy Test Science and Technology (DET S&T) Broad Agency Announcement (BAA). The BAA is available at both the Federal Business Opportunities (FEDBIZOPPS) and the Army Single Face to Industry (ASFI) acquisition business websites and provides information and instructions about the revised DET S&T solicitation, which considers awards to new projects with Fiscal Year 2010 funding.

US Army PEO STRI sponsors the DET S&T program at the direction of the Test Resource Management Center (TRMC), Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD), to advance the development of technologies required to support test and evaluation (T&E) of directed energy weapon systems in the high power microwave and high energy laser domains. Contracting with government agencies, educational institutions, non-profit organizations, and private industry, this collaboration is intended to mature high-risk, high payoff technologies to fill T&E gaps or address future T&E shortfalls.
