PEO STRI Releases the FY09 DET S&T BAA

The Program Executive Office for Simulation, Training, and Instrumentation (PEO STRI) has released the Fiscal Year (FY) 09 Directed Energy Test Science and Technology (DET S&T) Broad Agency Announcement (BAA). The BAA is available at Army Single Face to Industry (ASFI) Acquisition Business Website and provides information and instructions about the FY09 DET S&T solicitation.

PEO STRI sponsors the DET S&T program at the direction of the Test Resource Management Center (TRMC), Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD), to advance the development of technologies required to support test and evaluation (T&E) of directed energy weapon systems in the high power microwave and high energy laser domains. Contracting with government agencies, educational institutes, non-profit organizations, and private industry, this collaboration is intended to mature high-risk, high payoff technologies to fill T&E gaps or address future T&E shortfalls.
